Description
This painting of Ye (Kanye) West was made in 2021 and is the second part of the two part artwork “The Throne”. It was made to accompany the counterpart, Ye’s idol turned friend turned brother and even speculatively turned foe, Jay-Z. In contrast to Jay-Z’s blue jacket, Ye’s jacket is red. This links back to his My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy era. Because they’re both looking in opposite ways, when hanged together, they can eather look convergent (a team) or divergent (seperate individuals).
Ye (Kanye) West is a rapper from Chicago who gained fame in the early 2000s for his innovative approach to hip-hop music, blending various genres and styles. First only being regarded as a producer, he now is known to be one of the most influentual rappers. Besides his music, he is known for his outspoken personality, controversial statements, and fashion.
