This hyperrealistic drawing of The Notorious B.I.G. was made in 2018 using charcoal pencils (B, 4B and 8B), a black watercolor pencil and white gelpen for highlights. The reference picture for this drawing was done by photographer Dana Lixenberg, who also took the reference picture of my Tupac drawing. This drawing made it to the #1 spot of the global front page of Reddit.com.

The Notorious B.I.G. a.k.a. Biggie Smalls a.k.a. Christopher Wallace was a Brooklyn raised rapper. His debut album, Ready to Die, was released in 1994 and was a critical and commercial success, establishing him as a major force in the rap scene. He released a second album, Life After Death, in 1997, which also received widespread acclaim. Tragically, Biggie was killed in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles in 1997, at the age of 24. His storytelling is on such a level of detail and flow that a song can feel like a movie. With his impeccable and recognizable cadence and voice, he is often considered to be the best rapper ever.
