“Pusha T” drawing – premium print

Description

This hyperrealistic drawing of Pusha T was made in 2020 using charcoal pencils (B, 4B and 8B), a black watercolor pencil and white gelpen for highlights. The art piece was inspired by the album Daytona which was named after the Rolex Daytona (hence the watch face) and was symbole for the Luxury of time. The reference picture was done by photographer Sam Balaban.

Pusha T a.k.a. King Push started his career in the early 1990s with his brother Malice as the duo Clipse. Their biggest hit was Grindin’ with a iconic beat produced by The Neptunes (Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo). He started his solo career around 2010 when getting signed to Kanye West’s label GOOD music. He later became president of this label. Push has released several successful albums, including My Name is My Name (2013), King Push (2015), and the 7 song counting DAYTONA (2018). This album was one of the five 7 song counting albums produced by Kanye that dropped in 2018. Pusha T is known for his complex, vivid lyricism.
